Frequently asked questions

  • Generally, it’s a good idea to send out your invitations out about 6 months prior to your wedding.

If you are having a destination wedding, err on the side of earlier so guests can plan their travel and acommodation.

If you want to send them later, you can always send a Save the Date earlier so that people can at least mark the date in their calendars!

  • Quick answer… get in touch as soon as you think about them! But for a more specific timeline:

    Semi-custom designs

If you are choosing a design from one of our Semi-Custom Stationery Suites, we recommend that you order your invitations about 6 weeks before you would like to send your invitations out. This allows time for any customisations, printing and shipping.

For Day-of Stationery (such as signage and menus etc), we recommend that you order them 6-8 weeks before your event. There may be some details you still don’t have but by booking in your chosen products this will ensure you are booked in to get your products on time.

    Bespoke Designs

If you would like a completely bespoke and unique stationery suite, it is important to fill in the enquiry form around 7-8 months prior to your event. This allows time for consultation, artworking, designing, draft approval, printing and shipping before you receive them to send them to your guests.

If you are only interested in Day-of Stationery (such as signage and menus etc), it is recommended that you submit an enquiry form around 3-4 months prior to your event.

*If you are worried you’ve missed the boat, please get in touch anyway and I will see what I can do for you!

  • Take a browse through my Canva Template Designs - they are instant downloads so you can edit them straight away and send them digitally or get them printed yourself.

If you have 6-8 weeks, you can also choose from the range of Semi-Custom Stationery Suites. Once I have all your details, I will get these printed and assembled and sent to you as soon as possible.

Or skip a step and go DIGITAL. Choose either a Canva Template or Semi-Custom Design and choose to send digitally only and this will cut down your delivery time to same day for Canva Templates or 1-2 weeks for Semi-Custom Designs.

If you need to rush your order, get in touch with me ASAP and I will make sure we can fulfil your order in time before you place your order. My standard rush fee is 30% of the items that require a rushed deadline.

  • Not at all! I can assist you with this step if you are having some trouble. Best thing is to have the order booked in and I can collect any details/wording as per a timeline I will provide you.

  • You will provide all your desired wording for your stationery and I will fit that to the design.

If you would like changes to the colour scheme please let me know and I will do my best to accomodate:

    • printed colour - no fee

    • change of paper stock/colour - additional fee

You can choose to remove an illustration if you’d like.

You can add on additional embellishments/custom illustrations for an additional fee.

  • There are lots of ways we can create beautiful stationery in a sustainable way. When you enquire about your Bespoke Stationery Suite, make sure to let me know that you would like to choose Eco-conscious options where possible.

Here are some great options to consider:

    • Digital invitations

    • Go without an Order of Service but have a slideshow for any song lyrics/readings etc. (I can design these for you)

    • Use recycled paper stocks for all printed stationery items - there are some beautiful options!

    • Purchase a pre-loved styling item such as a wishing well from Facebook Marketplace, Wedshare or other community sites. (I can customise these too to fit your style)

    • Hire an easel or menu stands from me so you don’t have to hold onto them after your event.

    • Make guests’ name cards something they can treasure or use (think coasters, artworks, keychains)

    • Go for a pattern/illustrated design on the back of your invitations so guests can display them as art for years to come!

  • Most couples chose to hand out one Order of Service between two people.

I suggest you order around 60%-65% of your ceremony guest count if you don’t need everyone to have one.
