A little about me

There’s a real person behind the designs you’ll find here & she’s on a mission to help you find joy in the everyday moments

(and not-so-everyday ones too!)

Hi! I’m Jacqui and you can be sure that I’m feeling absolutely honoured right now that you are reading this on my corner of the web. I am an illustrator, graphic designer, stationer and artist with a love for getting the most out of each moment.

A lot of my work is inspired by the natural world, particularly beautiful florals and native Australian plants. I take a lot of my inspiration also from my attitude towards mindfulness, gratitude & my faith. As someone who understands the great highs and lows that our mind can take us to, I am so grateful for the moments I get to slow down and put pen to paper, to look around and take in my surroundings and to stop to truly celebrate a special moment someone is having.

I started Jacqui Sloan Designs in 2019 and have had the great privilege of creating some super special keepsakes to commemorate birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, grief, encouragement and just simply appreciation. Art may not be essential to everyday living but it absolutely is powerful in bringing us a sense of peace, a reminder of joy, a moment of contemplation, or even a boost of energy. It is even more special when it has been made especially for a person, couple or specific event. That’s essentially why I love what I do!

So if you want to bring some more connection and joy into your life or in the lives of others through art and illustration, get in touch! I would so love to hear your ideas and help you create something wonderful.

Outside of design…

  • The countryside is my happy place. Nothing beats the warm sun on an autumn day hitting the green rolling hills of the Aussie countryside.

  • I got married in October 2022 to my incredible husband and it was the happiest of days, so I have a first-hand insight into wedding planning!

  • My exercise and energy outlet of choice is dance - has been since I was 4 and I hope it still is when I am 84!

The parts I love the most

Illustrating

Every illustration is different, but that’s part of the fun of it! It is a great way to bring art to more people.

Making Patterns

Having trained in textile design, I have a great love for creating prints and patterns from my illustrations.

Bringing people joy

Seeing wonder, excitement or joy on the face of a happy recipient of my work is enough reward for me.
